What kind of report can I make in New York City (NYC) if I had an incident involving something other than a motor vehicle [For example, scooter, e-scooter, bicycle, e-bike, unicycle, hoverboard, skateboard etc]?

If you had an incident involving something other than motor vehicle; for example, scooter, e-scooter, bicycle, e-bike, unicycle, hoverboard, skateboard etc, you can make an accident report. There could be many scenarios, for example:

  1. You were riding one of those devices and fell which causes injuries.
  2. You were riding one of those devices and you hit someone or someone’s property which causes injuries or property damage to others.
  3. Someone was riding one of those devices and they hit you or your property which causes injuries or property damage.

These are just few examples involving any devices other than a motor vehicle. There could be more scenarios but if it involves with one of those devices, the report is same as a motor vehicle accident. As always, if it’s an emergency, call 911. Also, you can follow the steps regarding accident with injury or just property damage.
